Well hello there you beautiful thing you. Thanks for popping back after all this time.
Yes, I confess, it’s been about a year and a half since my last blog post. I guess I owe you an apology. And most probably an explanation.
You see, a lot changed a year and a half ago. My much-loved MMP partner in crime, Hannah Cabral, moved back to the UK. She was 6-months pregnant with her 2nd little one at the time, and Brexit pretty much happened as she landed. Talk about timing…
I received a promotion at work (MMP is not my actual job believe it or not) which pretty much stole all the mental capacity I had, never mind all the minutes in all of the days and the nights and some weekends. Like ever…
I also had two miscarriages. These not-so-small losses were a really big mental, emotional and physical setback for me, which I’ll tell you more about over the next few months. It’s all pretty ironic after my ‘To have a Second Child or Not’ post a while back. You have to laugh or…
And then there was 2016! I mean, like did anyone come out of that bastard year unscathed?!?! The stars just didn’t seem to align for me. And as much as I’ve tried to leave 2016 in 2016, it seeped its way into my bones, my belly, my brain and my 2017!
But now it’s time to let go. Now it’s time to release and reboot, and this post is the start of that.
So there’s the explanation. And here’s the sorry – I’m SO SORRY.
But we’re kicking things off again, and I’ve got some cool stuff coming up, like a Nike & Jordan Kids giveaway worth R1500!
Thanks for sticking with me! And watch this space!
Man, it feels good to be back!
